Cen QS Consulting prepared the BOQ’s for this circa £16.50m high quality retail development in the West Midlands.
Our sister company Censeo Consulting Limited priced and secured the project on behalf of our Client.
The D&B Project included the procurement, management, completion of the design and the construction of the Phase 2A development to the existing West Midlands Designer Outlet and all associated drainage and external works.
The works comprised the following:-
Site clearance to retail areas of phase 2A areas and ground preparation as necessary
Statutory Authorities diversions and new connections
Retail units on a shell only basis comprising 25 nr retail units of various sizes complete with capped services and shopfronts – generally single storey with the exception of one unit which is two storeys.
Fitting out of the retail units will be by the Tenants with the exception of fire detection facilities
Landlord centralised IT and service provision
Back of house accommodation at ground floor level
Substations at ground floor level
Solar photovoltaic panels at roof level to achieve sustainability initiatives
New public realm space including extensive hard and soft landscaping
Adaptation of service roads and car parking
Below ground drainage in connection with the works
Creation of temporary Kiosk area
The project was procured under a JCT Design and build contract with a 52 week contract period.
